Sunil Gaitonde, Ph. D., CEO and Founder
As the founding CEO, Sunil rapidly grew Sarvega through the tough times of 2000-04. Prior to Sarvega, he conceived and marketed Web Infrastructure products at Cisco to $150M+ annually and directed several acquisitions, He joined Cisco as a result of Cisco’s 6th acquisition, Internet Junction, of which Sunil was a co-Founder. Sunil is based in Chicago, USA. He is an IIT Kharagpur B. Tech. EE and holds an Iowa State Ph. D. for his work in computer networking.

Shridhar Shukla, Ph. D., Managing Director and Founder
As a Director, Shridhar helped Persistent Systems grow from 20 to 500+ people with revenue growing from US$200K to US$10M+ over eight years. During this period, he served as the COO and built a strong product and service business in the area of Identity Management. Prior to Persistent, Shridhar worked as an Assistant Professor at the US Naval Postgraduate School, California conducting research in multicast protocols. Shridhar is an IIT Bombay B. Tech. EE and holds a North Carolina State Ph. D. for his work in multi-computer routing.

Atul Narkhede, Vice President, Engineering
As the Fellow at Strand Genomics, Atul architected and delivered flagship products for mining and visualization of large scale scientific data. Prior to Strand, Atul worked as the Chief Architect at Tessera Systems where he developed infrastructure products with distributed web services. While at Silicon Graphics, California, Atul designed and developed core geometry software and microcode for the high-end SGI graphics hardware. Atul is an IIT Bombay B. Tech. CS and a University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) M. S. in computer graphics.

Ajit Patwardhan, Vice President, Operations
As a ground attack fighter pilot and a SAM battery Commander, Ajit led a distinguished career in the Indian Air Force during hostilities and peacetime. After a full career of illustrious service, Ajit retired as Wing Commander. He has twenty years of experience in man-management in challenging military situations. Ajit is a graduate of the National Defence Academy, Pune, India.

Chetana Mehta, Vice President, Human Resources
As a corporate manager with a hands-on technology background, Chetana specializes in conceiving and implementing end-to-end processes for acquiring, grooming, and retaining engineering staff. Her own engineering career spans 13 years at Persistent Systems, Tata Consultancy Services, and AT&T Bell Labs. Chetana has worked on products in data warehousing, identity management, performance characterization, and telemarketing solutions. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Hofstra University, NY, US.
